The GA DMV requires 1000 people order tags and that the fees for the tags be collected by the party launching the tag. The contact information of the supporters is then provided to the DMV with a lump sum and a base design for review and approval. Once approved, the initial group who ordered tags will receive their tag. At that time, the tag will be added to the DMV order form and RugbyGA will no longer be part of the process. We are merely escorting the creation and approval process.
Funds collected will be stored in a 501c3's account until the 1000 orders and $25,000 required deposit is collected. When these requirements are met, RugbyGA will move forward with the GA DMV.
RugbyGA will continue to pursue this goal until 12/31/2023. If at that time we have not met the DMV's requirements, we shall process refunds.
License Plates are registered to cars, not people. If you have more than 1 car, you should order additional tags.
At that time, the GA DMV will have complete ownership of the management of the tag and collection of fees. Their only requirement to maintain the tag is to have at least 500 tags in use annually.
Nothing. There are 2 categories of Tag in GA. Revenue sharing and Non-Revenue sharing. We are opting for the Non-Revenue sharing option as this is about helping people in GA find rugby clubs, events, and opportunities.
To grow rugby. While many strategies have been debated as to how to increase participation, nothing beats broad brush marketing. This is a simple and inexpensive way of helping people find rugby throughout Georgia with more than 1000 billboards.
To provide a single location for everything rugby in Georgia so people who are seeking rugby events have one place to go. This is an open platform allowing for youth, high school, college, adult, professional, and national team representation. We will also add key resource links so Georgians can have maximum access to events and clubs. We are independent of the state rugby organizations insulating us for the undulations or relationships in the community.
Contact us on the contact page. This will be an evolution so please help us find everything rugby and make this site the place to go for rugby information.
